Appearance
Under typical circumstances, Jonathan appears to be a typical, brown furred Egyptian fruit bat; they’re very small, about 3 inches in length from nose to tail, and capable of fitting in the palm of one’s hand. Jonathan in particular wears little custom shirts or ‘onesies’ in this state, so that he can still fly unimpeded.
That said, thanks to his ability to shapeshift as a Puca- rather, a ‘Carbuncle’- this has changed. No matter what form he is in, the telling trait of his existence as a Carbuncle can be seen on his brow between his eyes; a stone of labradorite, which gleams brilliantly under sunlight. It seems to adjust itself to his size, so he occasionally wears a bandana or hat to hide it in his shapeshifted form.
Rather, his ‘Human’ form. When shapesifting to appear as his original, human self, Jonathan appears quite different from the expected. Standing at a staggering 6’5’’, the man is practically carved stone, hard built muscle that even without monster changes could give powered creatures a run for their money. He has rather tousled blue-black hair, and brilliant blue eyes. While transformed into this state he likes to dress casually. Typically of course he shapeshifts the clothing as well- jeans, a tank top- but he’s fairly fond of modern ‘hoodies’ and ‘t-shirts’ as well due to the art often on them.

He does however have a few things he likes to make use of to that end; one of these is a genuine hoverboard, which he finds to be fairly novel as far as transportation methods go. The other, far less entertaining device, is a creepy stereo system; it seems to play the voices of the dead occasionally.
SOUL DEVICE
Bound to Jonathan’s phone, the Soul Device is a unique weapon that can be accessed with with a mere thought. It contains slots for unique gems to enhance its powers, and he can use it while both a bat, and a human. While a bat, the Soul Device seems to float around him as segmented portions of a blade, following his flight and will to allow Jonathan to ‘become’ the sword. As a human however, these segments close together into a single solid weapon; a short sword, small enough in Jonathan’s hand to almost be a dagger, but no less deadly when used in combat.
The Soul Device is now capable of EX Skills; depending on the state, the blade/blades gather flames around a spinning and charging form, creating a high powered lance strike.
Acquired Gems
🦇 Master Core ‘Reermouse’ • Fire Element Master Core. Carries the following boon:
- ’Physical Type’ · While wielding this device, all physical attributes are enhanced by 30%.
🦇 Regular Gem ‘Arc Bolt’ • Spirit Element Gem. Raises the power of Ranged spells from the Soul Device.
🦇 Regular Gem ‘Murasame’ • Spirit Element Gem. The duration of all temporary negative status effects is decreased by 90%.
🦇 Regular Gem ‘Thread of Life’ • Spirit Element Gem. Enables constant healing in small amounts while wielding the device.
🦇 Regular Gem ‘Absolute Defense’ • Earth Element Gem. While wielding the defice, there is a 1-in-6 chance of being protected by a magical shield.
🦇 ARCUS Quartz ‘Shield Breaker 3’ • Earth Element Quartz. A stone made for ARCUS devices. Blows have a 30% chance of cracking enemy armor.

Soul Abilities;
Candle Flame Ability: Hamon
Candle Flame is the energy of the soul, a form of power and life unique to the setting of Daybreak. While sparking a person’s inner flame can grant a plethora of abilities, there is one thing that the fire has in common with all; it is naturally harmful against the undead. Jonathan, unlike most with awakened flames, utilizes this life energy through a martial art known as ‘Hamon’- as such, rather than any abilities unique to himself, he is fighting with the very fire of his life and soul.Perhaps because of this fact, Jonathan cannot make full use of Hamon if he is not breathing at a regular, steady pace. He has spent much time mastering this pattern, and is capable of speaking, shouting, and even sleeping without throwing the pattern off. Even so, cutting off his airway is an easy way to cut off access to his Hamon- and thus, the majority of his power.
Abilities Tied to Candle Hamon
🦇 Healing • As the energy of life, Hamon is capable of healing personal injuries. At this time, Jonathan’s restored healing ability is fairly minor however- in fact, it is actively clashing with his Carbuncle ability.
🦇 Protection • Hamon in this form can be used as a natural elemental shield, potentially even gaining the strength required to defend against other sources of harm, at least to minor extent. Jonathan has yet to regain this aspect of his Hamon however.
🦇 Longevity • In channeling the energy of Hamon- rather, of the Candle Flame- one naturally extends their lifespan, appearing more youthful. At this time, there is nothing to indicate these side effects in Jonathan however.
🦇 Holy Affinitizing • Candle Flame is naturally attuned for combating the ‘undead’, and ‘evil’. It can at best be likened to the ‘Holy’ element, though it lacks the strengths and weaknesses that the similar ‘Light’ element of Kaisou wields. It acts much like a harmless fire, and can be channeled across the body with varying degrees of intensity.
- Hamon can additionally be conducted over metal; this elemental imbuement lasts as long as Jonathan himself remains in contact with the object/fluid, and is the primary reason he took up the sword as a weapon.
Persona: ????
Jonathan does not yet have a Persona, but a section has been formed in anticipation of the very real chance the Gacha may one day spring such a thing upon him.???’s Abilities
At the time, there is nothing to note down in this section. However, it is worth noting that if Jonathan gains a Persona, it will be of Combat type.

Danny · Great Dane
Jonathan’s dog from his childhood. Though he died under ‘mysterious’ circumstances, the Birthday Skeleton was more than happy to grant Jonathan’s wish of seeing them again- by reviving and returning the dog to him! A very friendly dog, if admittedly confused about his circumstance. He’s adapted well.

Freya · Kitten
A lovely, certain to be long-haired kitten that was given to Jonathan from the Goodwill. He named it Freya for her resemblance to the cats who pull said goddess’ chariot; little does he know, Freya is indeed a Maine Coon! She’s a very playful, and affectionate cat, much to Jonathan’s delight. Cats weren’t common ‘pets’ in his day- more ‘working’ animals.

After suddenly finding them with his cake slice, he had to call Josuke in a panic to set up a proper cage for them. Jonathan is aware that rats need company, and have short lifespans, so he’s considering perhaps getting them a friend. His only roadblock is his heart.

About the same time Jonathan moved into his free home, he found a bear in the bed there. During a volunteer mission to rid a poor farmer of a rabbit infestation, it was found that the source was a massive basket of carrots that constantly regenerated. In his panic, Jonathan brought the basket home, which caused the rabbits to follow. He couldn’t be rid of the basket either- it followed him through a Spirit Gate! It’s now buried a short distance from his house, where one can see numerous rabbits hopping about on the lawn. The bear seems to appreciate this.

An adorable living teapot, in ceramic and glass. Jonathan adores Tannin, even now that he can pour his own tea. He often lets her happily trot away to fill his cup rather than go through the process himself, as she seems quite put out otherwise. Recently, as Jonathan found another tea friend, he was able to name and gift one to Alfred; Astrin is named for Astringent, and a bit smaller, but doing their best to serve.

There's something of an inside joke in this large bird's name, but Jonathan won't say what it is. As it stands, this brilliant, sunny feathered bird is actually large enough to carry Jonathan in his human form; to that end, he's trying to learn to ride them properly, as he's been charmed by them ever since that Golden Saucer place showed up.

Dart Fans
A pair of unique bladed fans, painted with beautiful patterns and loaded with painful darts. Jonathan isn't much for such weapons, but he finds them quite beautiful, so they're mounted on his walls. Alfred might be able to weaponize them with telekinesis.
Vibranium Shield
A large round shield, seemingly indestructible in nature. Originally, as a Bat, Jonathan wasn't really sure he could use it, and had it mounted instead. Now however, he's making an effort to learn to actually use it.
Firey Whetstone
A whetstone for sharpening blades, it bears an additional magical property; it can imbue anything with the power of fire, at least temporarily. Jonathan's own Soul Device already channels flame, but he keeps it around in case anyone else might need it.
Magic Canteen
A canteen that very simply never runs out of water. Don't leave home without it.
Swiss Army Knife
A standard Swiss Army Knife, with all the features that entails; Large and small blades, can opener, bottle opener, large and small screwdrivers, wire stripper, wood saw, corkscrew, toothpick, tweezers, reamer (with a sewing eye) and naturally, a handy little key ring. Jonathan thinks it's rather impressive, but this is actually a very basic version- there are knives with far more tools embeded in the world.
Nail Bat
A simple weapon, but an effective one all the same. It's a bat with nails jammed into it, and it's kept by Alfred's door for 'emergencies', possibly because no amount of force with it could compare to Jonathan's own fists.
WORN ITEMS
Spirit Bell
A simple round bell, tied on a string. When rung, the bell wards away spirit monsters- Jonathan occasionally wears it around his neck as a bat, as an extra defense.
Tiny Magic Scarf
A tiny scarf for his bat form, gifted to him by Josuke via Santa. It grants minor powers from the wind element to control the sound around hiim, while granting a speed boost at the same time. It's very helpful for flying.
Extra Snuggie
A snuggie that, strangely enough, fits his human self. It's incredibly warm and comfortable- magically so in fact.
Glove of Babel
A glove that Jonathan can wear to translate dead languages when touching the text with it. The language must absolutely be dead- Latin, for this reason, sounds much like it's been wrung through Google Translate.
Tiny Christmas Bowtie
A bowtie made to fit his bat self, gifted by Jin-woo. It's patterned with candycanes, and is incredibly cute.
Tiny Ball Suit
A custom suit funded by Zodiac- perhaps happily so in fact, as it was very small. It fits his bat self, and is very high quality.
Dinosaur Hoodie
A hoodie covered in dinosaur spikes with a picture of one at the front. Jonathan absolutely adores it, and it came in his human self's size.
Loafers
A set of incredibly comfortable slippers that look like loaves of bread. Naturally, Jonathan loves them.
Cape of Bees
A magical cape that Jonathan finds a fairly amusing novelty; if flapped, it releases a swarm of angry bees toward any given target.
Magic Coat
A magical coat that can change its appearance and purpose according to his desires. As Jonathan keeps few articles of clothing for his human guise, the coat is quite useful to say the least.
Victorian Holiday Outfit
Technically this outfit is good for any time- but it was given to him by Edward on the Holidays, and despite his worries, fits like a glove! It's a piece of home he didn't think he'd get again, so he values it quite a lot.
Inflatable Dinosaur Costume
Part of a gift from his secret santa, Jonathan has quite a lot of fun messing about in this thing- the fact that it fits him at all is astounding enough for him to do so.
Adjustable Magic Bracelet
A present Josuke commissioned for him from Santa, it grants him complete fire immunity and even a bit of protection from smoke! On top of that, he can wear it in pretty much any form he desires- though the protections feel a bit on the nose.
House + Home
Scroll of Magic Rissole
A scroll that perhaps was crafted while half asleep. Or hungry. Or blind? Rather than firing magic missiles, it flings forth little baked pastries called 'rissole'- typically 3 at once. It's handy for emergency meals in Jonathan's opinion, especially since a rissole is about the size of a full meal when one is a tiny little bat.
Magic Race Car Bed
A race car bed capable of full operation- which happens to be scaled down to bat size. It's very comfortable for sleeping in, and Jonathan may or may not enjoy learning to drive with it as well. Unfortunately for him, actual cars are far more complicated.
Magic Insta-Pot
An insta-pot which magically fills itself with whatever food Jonathan is craving, fully cooked and ready to eat. He's had to stash it in Alfred's 'house' to avoid setting it off all the time though, as sometimes it just fills itself with something his bat body can no longer digest.
Coffee Machine
A completely normal, and blessedly simple coffee machine. Jonathan is more familiar with tea, but he's been trying to give this 'coffee' thing a shot. It's 'okay', he supposes.
Rice Cooker + Chopsticks
A normal rice cooker, which as it turns out cooks far more than rice. Jonathan is learning to cook using it, and has decided he'll figure out how to use the chopsticks he received while he's at it. Fortunately, the chopsticks themselves appear to be made with beginners in mind.
Indoor Garden Kit
A gift from his 'secret santa'- it's a wonderful kit made for planting all sorts of produce inside the home, and he's loved it since day one. It's much easier to maintain with his human form, but for his bat form it's like having his own personal grocery store on hand.
Bat-Sized Housewares + Bedding
A series of presents from Ritsuka for Christmas. While they're clearly repurposed from doll furnishings, it seems she was careful to pick quality materials so that he can use the various dishes and bedwear for himself at bat size.
Novelty Mug
A normal mug, with a picture of a happy bat on it. It says 'Just a little Batty', and is quickly becoming his favorite.
Seductive Radish Pillow
A somewhat large stuffed radish, whose roots are posed in a suggestive manner. Jonathan can't stop smiling any time he sees it.
Goose Pillow
It's an absolutely massive cushion shaped like a white goose. Jonathan bought it for his cat to use as a bed, but she practically disappears into it right now.
Towels
Normal towels, found at the Goodwill. Jonathan has received two towels this way so far, and they're both sized for his human self.
Rock Pillow
A simple, but deceptive pillow, which looks entirely like an ordinary rock. It's one of Danny's favorites now though.
Mundane Miscellaneous
Hoverboard
A marvel of technology, which apparently shouldn't exist yet. It resembles a skateboard, but hovers about a foot or so off the ground- and even above small bodies of water, if the 'movies' are right. Jonathan's a little hesitant to test that part though.
Otamatone
A strange mechanical music note that can be played like an instrument. Jonathan hasn't had a lot of success with it, and it actually gets Danny rather excited when he tries.
Locket
A locket received from the Goodwill. Inside to his shock, Jonathan found a family photo of what he can only assume is his wife, his son, and then his daughter-in-law...as well as a newly born Joseph. It makes him quite teary-eyed.
Cat-Ear Headphones
A 'novel' addition to his home, or so Jonathan says. They only fit his human form, so he can't wear them often, but he genuinely prefers to use them as much as possible for audio.
Wireless Earbuds
While they're better quality than his headphones, he finds it easy to lose the earbuds at times. Even so, they make for uniquely 'bat-sized' speakers due to a combination of his animal hearing, and their size. So he can use them for that much at least.
Kid's Tablet
A wonderful quality tablet, equipped with a chunky, kid-friendly case. It has apps on it meant for children, but Jonathan doesn't mind- aside from it being much easier to make use of the basic functions due to the size of the icons, the case itself is extremely easy for him to handle in any shape or form.
Laptop
A fairly nice laptop device that was given to him by Ritsuka. It's just a normal system, but when it comes to typing things up in the house using human fingers, it's perfect! It's also perfect for watching it like it's a big screen TV as a bat.
Dinosaur Plush
A lovely stuffed dinosaur which has its home at Jonathan's bedside. It resembles a blue sauropod, and he's continually charmed by it. Unfortunately, so is his cat.
Laser Pen
One of the toys he purchased for Freya. She loves to chase the little red dot, but seems to slowly be realizing where it comes from.
Bubble Gun
The second toy that Jonathan got for Freya, though Danny enjoys it too. It shoots bubbles out the front, letting him easily point and fire for the two to chase.
Giant Bubble Wand
Yet another toy for Freya. The massive bubbles are a whole new delight for her, and Jonathan sometimes finds himself wondering if he could channel hamon over them somehow.
Twister
A modern board game that Jonathan hasn't been able to properly play until just recently. He isn't sure how to ask anyone to try it with him however, as he has the distinct impression that most don't really just play boardgames whenever these days.
Fish Sticky Notes
A set of sticky notes that look like realistic fish. He likes to use them for memos, but the result can sometimes be that his house looks like it's covered in fish.
Cat Paw Gelpens
Gelpens with little cat-paw lids. Jonathan uses them in tandem with the fish sticky notes and finds it hilarious.
Olive Garden Membership
A membership card for Olive Garden. He has the distinct impression that this is not what actual Italian food tastes like.
Void Denny's Membership
A membership for Void Denny's, which grants him a free meal at random when he goes. He can't help but use it whenever he can, even if the results can be questionable.
Bat Charm
A cute bat-shaped charm he received from Furina for Christmas. It hangs off his fridge right now.
Santa Centaur
A curious ornament he received from the Goodwill. He supposes that if he gets a tree this year, that's where they'll go.
Anatomically Questionable Animal Skeleton
Despite his outdated knowledge of the world, Jonathan knows enough about his own body to recognize that this plastic skeleton of a bat is incredibly inaccurate. He's well humored enough to keep it around however, even if just on his writing desk.
Magnetic Goose Statue
A handy statue of a goose with a magnet in the beak- it allows him to stick things like keys to it.
Sewing Kit
Jonathan's sewing kit from the goodwill is quite simple- it's good for patch jobs and the like. Unfortunately, he's not particularly good at sewing. Fortunately, he's keen on practicing, and sees the object as incentive to learn.
Noodle + Cheese Advent Calendars
While it doesn't take long for the food inside of these spare calendars to disappear, Jonathan has kept the boxes all the same. Why? Because the boxes by legal necessity still say what was actually contained in there at one time, and he quite likes being able to order these unique flavors and foods again! Even if he probably isn't supposed to put the cheese in the noodles.
Fossil Digging Kit
The second part of Jonathan's secret santa gift, he had quite a lot of fun indeed, digging out false bones. The resulting fossil now sits at his desk, in a place of honor.
Dinosaur Christmas Ornaments
A gift granted to him after his defeat to Santa in the great sparring run- a delightful bout of fun, he's taken great care to pack each ornament properly so that it can sit on his tree for many years to come.

Despite the name, Jonathan isn't certain they count as sentient. Probably. It's a 'bag of holding', which can store any number of items- but for whatever reason, this one's fairly grouchy. Whenever Jonathan goes to use the bag, a random wild animal stands the risk of flying out. As such, he doesn't really put anything in there- though he does keep it around just in case.
Possessed Notebook
It's a notebook that writes back to him when he uses it. Jonathan noted it started to give him advice, but he also noticed it was rather sour advice. He's started trying to converse with it to change its ways, but to no avail.
Woerm Washer
It looks a bit like a coffee bodum, apparently. Also apparently, it can be used to 'cleanse woerms of sins'. Jonathan has no such woerms, but he does have little bath clothing to clean without wasting water and electricity, so the woerm washer is now a little bat clothing washer.
Creepy Stereo
A fairly nice stereo system, which plays good quality audio. Unfortunately, it also occasionally passes the voices of the dead through.
Majora's Mask
A very intricate and unique mask, which despite prior experience with such cursed things, now hangs on Jonathan's wall. He hasn't tried wearing it though, which is probably for the best. If he does, he'll have visions of an enormous moon bearing a horrid expression.
Ring of Intangibility
A completely intangible ring that is somewhere in Jonathan's house. Jonathan's not sure how it got here, as he can't actually pick it up. It's a little distracting, and he might put a rug over it.
Insulting Tarot Cards
A beautiful set of tarot cards, but Jonathan doesn't actually know how to do readings with them. As such, it may be quite some time before he realizes they're cursed; words will appear to insult whoever receives a reading from these cards.
Magic Car
Jonathan finds himself overwhelmed by the choices of vehicles, and now he has a car that can appease all of them. But only when the car chooses; it has a will of its own, and the ability to change the type of car it is. Jonathan doesn't mind that he has no say in this, but does wish he was able to drive more properly so he could show it off.
Magic MP3 Player
A magical music player that affects his mood depending on the songs playing. He hasn't quite figured it out yet, but fortunately his taste in music isn't especially sad. ...Or angry for that matter.
Holy Rubber Duck
This cute rubber duck causes any ducks nearby to follow Jonathan when it's on his person. Because of this, it generally stays home though.
Extra Capacity Pumpkin Bucket
While he doesn't go trick-or-treating of course, the fact that this bucket holds three times the candy it ought makes it incredibly handy as a popcorn bucket. Popcorn is totally a candy, right?
STARS Advent Calendar
For all that the contents didn't seem magical- largely they were fun knick-knacks from his youth, and sweets that are no longer sold these days- the final day's reward was certainly magic enough to count. He hasn't figured out what happened yet of course, but it felt like something changed...

Due to his shapeshifting powers, Jonathan's default abilities can be said to oscillate wildly; however, this is something of a ruse. If after all, his magic is somehow negated, then so too will his access to his human form- at least typically. For the sake of reference, his human state is absurdly strong. In human life he was capable of pulling the weight of six grown men upon him without suffering injury, being a skilled boxer and rugby player. Adding in his dedication to the martial art of Hamon and Jonathan is furthermore incredibly fit- he has an immense amount of stamina when it comes to physical activity, and it takes a considerable amount of exerted energy to actually take him down.
As a bat, this is quite the opposite. In this 'default' state Jonathan is something of a glass cannon; while his human form hardly stays put to be struck, it is naturally large and much easier to spot and hit. As a bat he is far more maneuverable, and agile- even without the benefit of hamon usage he's able to fly with all the grace of an acrobat, weaving around projectiles and honing in upon small but otherwise sensitive targets.

Being naturally in tune to the Earth Magic of Kaisou, he gains a burst of energy during such months- as if perpetually well rested, it would seem. 🦇 Photosynthesis • Jonathan is capable of drawing nutrients and power from the sun, just like a proper plant.

- The basic ability to converse with plants- at this level, Jonathan can only support himself in a basic conversation, so he is unable to fully make use of plant knowledge.
- An incredibly minor power, which allows Jonathan to magically grow plants at a quick rate. He can only grow one flower at a time however.
- A permanent ability that makes it difficult for Jonathan to be knocked over, regardless of physical form.
- A triggered skill which hardens Jonathan's skin to become as hard as diamonds. It lasts for ten seconds, but if he uses the skill multiple times in succession he risks exhausting himself.
- A mild strength boost incurred from his Earth Element. It boosts his strength by 3 times the amount of the 'average human'. For a bat, this is quite impressive. As his human self, this is a somewhat small boost in power.
- When Jonathan has skin contact with the earth, he can sense vibrations within ten feet of himself. It's somewhat disorienting for him.
- By using earth magic, small green markings will start to appear on Jonathan's skin, starting from the stone at his brow. Currently they've only created a simple 'border', but the more he uses his abilities the more the markings will spread.
- A potentially debilitating boon; while his power increases when directly connected to the earth, the reverse also applies. In dice terms, he gains +1 on contact, and +2 with barefoot contact; however, when separated from the earth, this becomes a -1. Due to his existence as a bat, he's seeking a method of changing this.
General Abilities
🦇 Korok Hammerspace Slot • A ‘free pocket’ akin to video-game inventory slots. Jonathan has one, but one is what he truly needs; it’s how he carries around his phone as a bat.
🦇 Powerful Bite • A physical ability that causes Jonathan’s bite to be particularly strong- and painful.

- An off-element ability granted to him by the Fae as a boon. Occasionally when he speaks with determination to inspire others, it has a literal consequence; up to four people at a time can be 'inspired' enough to have their strength doubled, for as long as five minutes.
- A curious ablity that Jonathan can manifest through any doorway. It allows him to access space of equal size to a walk-in closet, which for his bat self may as well be the scale of a large manor. He uses it as a portable camping space.
- A high level healing ability, which manifests through Jonathan's Hamon usage. With it, he can heal even severe injuries for himself, as well as others.
Monster Abilities
🦇 Enhanced Vision • Better than human (and bat) eyesight due to his dinosaur eyes. In general, Jonathan sees more colors than other people.

- A middle range ability, which allows Jonathan to shapeshift not only into his human state, but into anything smaller than this form as well. The shapeshifting is total; while he cannot gain any of the magical abilities of animals he becomes, he can mimic their physical ones. This fact allows him to make use of his former strength as a human.
- A physically manifesting ability centered around a gemstone that now exists at his brow, approximately the area of the 'third eye'. Appearing to be Labradorite, it is a source of psuedo immortality- as long as the stone remains unharmed, he will heal from any injury he sustains, regardless of how long it takes or how severe it is. This stone scales to his size when shapeshifting.
- A skill connected to Jonathan's Carbuncle species. It enables him to cure minor poisons and toxins.

Not long after arriving in Kaisou, Jonathan was granted 'free real estate' from a lucky egg. Led to the address by the slip inside, the house he found is a cozy cottage that wouldn't be out of place in the Japanese countriside. Bearing a traditional 'ofuro' washroom, the house can nearly be called a bungalow. It sits somewhat raised above the ground with a single room attic, and all other rooms on the main floor.
Jonathan's yard is somewhat wild. The property is surrounded by sparse woods, with the yard itself somewhat rugged and overgrown. Despite this, it has some unique amenities and features- a pond lined with stones, various stepping stone paths from the multiple entrances, and even an old-style water pump can be found out there.
Inside the house, many of the rooms are floored with tatami. A cluttered study exists which Jonathan himself uses regularly, as well as a small tea room where he has his meals. There are technically two bedrooms, if one considers the connected tatami rooms to be individuals- but since it's just himself and the animals in the house, most of the doors are left open.

Alfred’s House
Jonathan found himself with a second 'free real estate' slip some time after receiving the first- except this house is...smaller. It's technically a fully temperature controlled and 'furnished' dog house, with two floors and a balcony. There's a cozy couch to sit on, a bed fit for a dog...or pokemon, and there's even a faucet in there for water.
Jonathan's seriously considering adding to it so that Alfred's space is more 'his own'. An Indeedee after all, is far from a dog- they’re even bipedal.

Bat Box
Jonathan's 'bat house' isn't much of a house- and really it's something he only crawls up into when he's feeling especially nostalgic. As with most bat houses, it's a simple wooden box with an opening at the bottom- there's a ledge to climb up and around, and then from there it's all shelter and a sturdy dowel to hang off from. Provided no other bats have taken it over anyway.
