Other Characters: Yasuho Hirose

Character Name:
Canon: JJBA: Phantom Blood - CRAU of Daybreak/AU via Daybreak
Canon Point: End-Game!
Birthday: April 4th
History: Since Daybreak was an AU game, his AU History can be found here on his app- you will need to scroll down to 'AU Information'. For full History coverage, the Canon Resource is also being provided.

As for his in-game history, much of Daybreak passed in a very episodic nature, and over the course of two years in his case; the most major points are thus as follows.

🦇 Jonathan started attending classes at the Campus, sharing a dorm space and making friends. Largely he would join along on missions to assist in combative efforts, as despite his size as a fruit bat he was fairly skilled.

🦇 For a brief period he met people such as his distant son (It's complicated), great-great-great granddaughter, and others, but ultimately per the CRAU rule, he will not really recall that unless other players opt in.

🦇 As for Missions and Game Events; one such mission included being kidnapped by the In-Universe Galra! Rough. He got rescued. Anyway-

🦇 At one point, working with a man named Rex allowed him to obtain a sort of false body, which he piloted much like a mech. This was then used to interact with the rest of the school, as well as to fight during missions- including the raid on Dracula's castle, where he ejected his bat self right into Drac's face and had a fight of his life against one of the few vampires to remember what Hamon is. Wow!

🦇 Ultimately Jonathan was just kind of 'around' in Daybreak. His peers loved him! They'd have tea with him and he'd be there with a cute little thimble tea cup! How do you not love a bat...man. Bat in a mech? He got to teach people Hamon! He got to hear vague details of family drama and say 'actually I want none of that'. And finally, in the end-

🦇 The end of the world needed to be prevented, and so Jonathan came into battle, rocketing around as the little bat covered in sunlight that he was to help everyone in the ultimate fight. They won! Yay! He thus went back to school, because there's lots to learn and maybe one day he can teach too! Yay! Now he's here! ....Uh oh!

Personality: (Note; this has been adapted from his former application, as Jonathan is still very much the same person. In fact, aspects of his AU self have now come full circle, allowing a pseudo-repetition of his state at Game Entry in Daybreak)

🦇 Considered the 'nicest JoJo' and that's Correct. Jonathan is so 'good' at heart that his own author had him killed off because he couldn't think of where to go with that. He'll hold back on street thugs after his life. He'll politely frown at you for your crimes and otherwise bite his tongue. It took literally poisoning his dad and slaughtering dozens for Jonathan to actually get mad at Dio and even then he still cried over his death. Literally Too Good For This World.

🦇 Also way too trusting- part of that's his step-brother's fault, but he tends to have more optimistic views of another's intentions, and has even pushed back on his gut instinct in the name of giving the benefit of the doubt. Which. Sometimes ends well because we get Speedwagon, but this is also why Dio got away with so much so...oops.
🦇 But he's not STUPID. Might have some pretty unorthodox thinking- finding air pockets in the bottoms of rivers and setting himself on fire to counter Dio's ice powers- but he's a clever boy, and he was in the middle of a degree in archaeology before everything went to shit for him! Also, catching up on years of education leaps is hard! Doing his best!

🦇 Over all clearly the romantic ideal of a heroic gentleman- has a strong code of honoor, and an equally strong tie of dedication to what he considers his responsibility. There might be a level of pride involved, but for the most part the lack of fear and hesitation in the face of the worst is primarily for the sake of 'doing what's right'.

🦇 Bit self-sacrificing as a result. A lot self-sacrificing, actually, that's kind of how he died. He'll take hits that he really really shouldn't be taking if he thinks it'll win the battle for the best team, and where as a larger sort he could tank a sawblade to the arm uhhhhh. He can't! Do that now.

🦇 Fortunately aware of that! Actually, maybe too aware. While his false body helped him get over the hesitation that came of failure and weakness, he's a bat again and thus more hesitant to directly put himself in the line of fire. Not because of danger to him, but because he fears it'll cause more problems for other people.

🦇 He's a very guilty little bat after all! He's well aware of the fact that his dying efforts were partly in vain, and despite all accomplishments through daybreak, those were all vastly team-effort matters.

🦇 Altogether, still a very gentle, caring young man with his focus on the welfare of others, a little naive to the world around him, and ready to do his best to at least observe and advise if he doesn't think he can do any proper fighting. Which he's pretty sure he can't! Look at him!

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: We're going reasonably immediate here- he's also taking a good blow to the noggin, which will ICly serve as the excuse for most of his fuzzy memory re: anyone he could have recognized from Daybreak, AND...since it makes my life easier, it also explains why only a few precise details of Daybreak Proper can be recalled. Really cannot emphasize enough how much of his game time was defined by floating around and then having the occasional memorable fight. Pandemic Era, Man.
Items: His lil bat onesie :]
Retained Abilities: A portion of his Hamon, or (per the AU) 'Radiance', which I'm breaking down as follows using the elemental Light regains as a guide. Very handy, that.
  • 2 Points - Basic Elemental Manipulation; 'Radiance' is akin to 'Life' themed magic, or 'Holy' magic. Jonathan's primary use of it as a bat involves simply coating himself in it, and tackling things with his very, very, Very small body. In order to maintain the strength of this power, he needs to maintain an even breathing pace however- if his breathing is impeded, he cannot properly use this element.
  • 1 Point - Effectiveness against Undead; this is assuming the above cannot automatically have its elemental advantage against the undead. IF that elemental advantage is included with the 2 point regain, instead:
    • 1 Point (Alternative) - Encourage the growth/recovery of small plants and minor injuries by physically touching it; limited to a month's worth of growth/heal time.
