Jonathan's letter is actually in an envelope, though Maverick luckily realized how it might be difficult for a bat to open an envelope, do it isn't sealed shut. Might still be hard to get to, but...look, he's trying to be conscientious of the olden times here!]

Didn't know if bats had any particular sensitivity to the real things so went with this instead.
I read that blue hyacinths meant something about being sincere and making peace. Don't know a ton about floriography so if that's wrong it ain't my fuck up, just know that's what I'm trying to say here.
